Pittsburgh just proved why it is one of the greatest sports cities in the world! This week on Travel Trivia, we celebrated the record-breaking 2026 NFL Draft, where an incredible 805,000 fans flooded the streets of the North Shore and Point State Park to witness history.

From the banks of the Allegheny River to the top of Mount Washington, we took a deep dive into the "City of Bridges" and its legendary football culture. Our community brought the same energy as the Draft crowd, making for some intense races and high-scoring trivia!

🧠 Steel City Trivia: What You Missed

We covered everything from historic inclines to the newest members of the NFL. Here are the highlights:

  • The Draft Milestone: Pittsburgh officially snatched the crown from Detroit, setting a new all-time attendance record with over 805,000 attendees!

  • Primanti Bros. Secret: This local staple is famous for putting fries and coleslaw inside the sandwich. Pro tip for travelers: you can order the "insides" in a bowl if you are gluten-free!

  • Mr. Irrelevant 2026: LB Red Murdock from Buffalo was the final pick (257th overall) by the Denver Broncos. He now heads to Newport Beach for his week-long celebration!

  • Bridge King: Pittsburgh has 446 bridges within city limits. That is more than Venice, Italy!

  • Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood: You can visit the original puppets and sneakers of Pittsburgh native Fred Rogers at the Heinz History Center.

You do not need to wait for the Draft to visit Pittsburgh! Whether you want to catch a game at PNC Park (voted the best ballpark in America!), ride the Duquesne Incline, or explore the Heinz History Center, there is so much to see.

This trip was the perfect mix of relaxation, amazing food, and learning a few cruise hacks along the way. Pre-Cruise Perfection: Hollywood Beach is a Must Let’s start with the non-negotiable step: the pre-cruise stay. Cruising out of Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) is easy, but you absolutely have to fly in the night before. Kathleen and Kahla arrived early and stayed right in Hollywood Beach, FL. Seriously, book it! The area is fantastic, the Broadwalk is a whole vibe, and you can practically taste the ocean air already. It’s the best way to kick off a vacation and avoid travel day stress. Hollywood Beach Fl for the win, every single time! The Good, The Gluten-Free, and The Great Service The ship's service was outstanding, especially when it came to dining: Gl...
